New Engine Under the Hood
We have given a much needed mechanical overhaul to mightybytes.com in recent days. Though it may look like the same old beater on the outside, some significant changes have been made under the hood. This was no simple oil change and lube job. No, Expression Engine, the new content management system, allows us to drive faster, get better gas mileage and still take those hairpin turns at jet-pack speeds.
While our previous site all flowed together nicely on the front end, the admin side of it was, well, let's just say a bit cumbersome and cobbled together. It certainly served its purpose and we were able to pull it together in the time we had, but admittedly it was a less than optimal solution. Now, all of the site's Flash movies, text, graphics, video, and so on live happily together under the harmony of a single Expression Engine install.
